Abstract
The recent debates regarding the registration of a European trademark by an individual, in connection to one of the most prominent ecclesiastic figures from Transylvania, raise in a legitimate way some questions concerning firstly the existence of a limit regarding the actual registering of such a trademark; secondly, whether its effects are absolute and, thirdly, whether there are ways of rectifying some controversial legal situations such as the one stated below or not.
