Abstract
The study intends to present the life and work of Alexandru Costin ( 1884 – 1970 ), member of the Romanian Academy, judge of the High Court of Cassation of Romania, legal publicist, professor of international law, civil law and civil procedure, general secretary and vicepresident of the Romanian Social Institute, vicepresident of the International Congress of Comparative Law ( Hague, 1931 ), member of the Team for ancient romanian law.
